Tokenomics · open-source

Stress-test your token economy before the market does.

TokenLab is our open-source, agent-based simulation library for token economies — model incentives, holder behaviour and price dynamics, and find failure modes before launch, not after.

What it is

Most tokens fail on economics, not code.

TokenLab lets you simulate how a token economy behaves over time — under different holders, incentives and market conditions — so design flaws surface in a model instead of on-chain.

Agent-based modelling

Model distinct participant cohorts — long-term holders, speculators, liquidity providers — and watch how their behaviour drives supply and price over time.

Stress-test before launch

Run emissions, vesting and incentive designs through adverse scenarios to find where the economy destabilises — the questions Terra/Luna answered too late.

Open and documented

Apache-2.0 licensed, built in Python, with modelling assumptions stated explicitly for reproducibility. Inspect it, extend it, run it yourself.

The method behind it

Not a hunch — a published method.

TokenLab and the audit approach around it are backed by peer-reviewed research in the Journal of The British Blockchain Association, going back to 2018.

Who it's for

Built for people whose token has to hold up.

Web3 founders

Pressure-test your tokenomics before you commit to a supply schedule, an emissions curve or a launch you can't undo.

Investors & funds

Independent due diligence on a project's economic design — modelled, not asserted — before you back it.

Protocol & treasury teams

Model governance and incentive changes against holder behaviour before they go live on-chain.

Alumni Stories

What Our Alumni Say

"Tokenization for entrepreneurs was a really accessible and engaging introduction to the space. As someone who values practical, beginner-friendly learning, I found the course easy to follow and informative without feeling overwhelming. It breaks down complex ideas in a clear way, and I think it's a strong starting point for anyone looking to understand tokenization and the broader web3 landscape."

Shreya Choudhuri

BuildHer Labs

"I enjoyed the Tokenization 101 course by Women in Blockchain Talks and Tesseract Academy. It’s a great beginner-friendly introduction for anyone wanting to understand what tokenization is, with clear explanations, useful reading material and interesting examples of how it is already being used by businesses."

Kavisha Gounden

Co‑Founder & CEO, Galahad Research | Product & Venture Leader

"I thoroughly enjoyed Lavinias' Women in BlockChain Talks Workshop on \"Create your own NFT\"; It was a comprehensive introduction to the world of NFT. The discussion from Rarible and Crypto & NFT Legal experts was a bonus. It was a pleasure to meet so many like-minded ladies in the Blockchain & Defi Space."
