Quiz: Attendance, Engagement and Continuation Risk Models

Attendance risk models analyse patterns such as missed lectures and late arrivals to identify students who may struggle with regular class participation.

A common baseline for acceptable attendance levels in attendance risk models is a 75% attendance rate.

Engagement risk models examine participation in online forums and assignment submission timing to predict academic success.

Continuation risk models consider academic performance, attendance, engagement, and demographic data to predict whether students will complete their programmes.

The purpose of continuation risk models is to identify at-risk students early so that interventions can be provided before they reach critical points in their academic journey.
